My History
I first trained in Holistic Aromatherapy at The London School of Aromatherapy, a one year part time course completed with Honours in 1998. Initially this was from a personal interest in essential oils, but the course included significant training in massage, which became a major part of my work. I diversified in 2001 with diplomas from the London Centre of Indian Champissage & The Academy of On-Site Massage, expanding on my private client work with corporate visits.
Having practiced Yoga since my teenage years -& finding it personally beneficial in many ways - in 2004 I went on to do two & a half years of teacher training with The British Wheel of Yoga. This meant that in 2006, in addition to providing treatments, I could further my goal to help people manage their general wellbeing for themselves.
In 2007 I was offered the opportunity of help for health issues as a member of 'The Spa of Embarrassing Illnesses' on UKTV. This consisted of a 2 week retreat which combined a mind-body detox with various holistic therapies & practices. I personally found the results amazing & so was even more inspired to work in this field of complementary health & wellbeing. Specifically by going on to train in 'Mind Detox', for which I'm now in the process of qualifying as a practitioner (courtesy of the creator of this technique: Sandy Newbigging).
After 'The Spa...' we decided to move out of East London, not so far to Sawbridgeworth on the Hertfordshire / Essex border, & I now continue to build my holistic therapy & teaching practice in this region. I look forward to working with you.
Wishing you peace, happiness & wellbeing,
Credit & thanks must go to all teachers of mine, without whom I would not be where I am today personally & professionally. Particular recognition & appreciation must go to my past & current Yoga tutors: Peter Blackaby, Sarah Mackintosh, Kay Russell & John Cain. Also the whole team involved in 'The Spa of Embarrassing Illnesses', Sandy Newbigging & The Bright Path.
